Nonie has been an equine therapist at Touchstone Ranch Recovery Center since 1991. By the grace of God and through the 12 steps, she has been sober since January 24, 1986. Nonie graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in agriculture economics and went on to obtain her Master of Education from Tarleton State University. In 2023, Nonie earned her Doctor of Education from Grand Canyon University. Nonie became certified in equine-assisted psychotherapy and is a member of The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association as an associate of EAGALA. She has also participated in several Virginia Satir training seminars using experiential learning in the family system.

I came in here totally broken, with such a void and sense of hopelessness I didn’t even recognize myself any more! I found hope here!
